how 'bout those seahawks?...we'll see in a few hours their opponent for next sunday...

as of this moment, pittsburgh leads indianapolis 21-10...

friday night i had a great time at the tri-city americans game...they beat spokane 3-0...always a great game against the chiefs...

watched both football games, of course, yesterday...also a csi repeat (one of the rare episodes that i hadn't seen before), then i watched two shows i had never seen, crossing jordan and medium, and enjoyed both...then watched law and order:svu which is one of my favorites...it was a crime drama night, i guess...

tomorrow is the holiday honoring dr. martin luther king, jr., so public schools are closed and therefore i won't be teaching, but i will work an opening shift at my other job, so i am excited about that...

i didn't go to church today...haven't gone for a while, and i'm sorry, God, you know that i have been kind of spiritually lazy and have been reluctant to be in fellowship with others...why?... i don't know... i miss going to church...i hope to get over this reluctance soon, because i know that i am missing out on something important...

it's already halfway through january and i wonder about what 2006 will be like...there are events which are scheduled and expected, such as kim graduating on june 2...wow...after that both of my kids will be high school graduates...seems like only yesterday i was graduating from pasco high...actually 26 years ago in june...my 44th birthday is in march...and i have enjoyed my 40's so much...what else will 2006 bring?...i just pray that whatever God intends for me and for my family this year, He will be with us through it all, the joys and the sorrows, the gains and the losses, the births and the deaths, the beginnings and the ends...

it's almost midnight and i must be up by 6 am, so this is good night...

1/07/06

it's been months and months since my last entry, and for that, i am sorry...there isn't really an excuse, nothing much has changed, i still work as a substitute teacher and as an employee of a school-age program...however, i volunteer as the secretary of a high school choir booster club, so that does take some of my time...i haven't read any of my entries or even been signed on to my blog in many months...as i read some of my past blogs, it brought back memories and i am so glad to have written them...i hope that i can regularly start using this again...

so what's happening now?...i am watching the new england-jacksonville playoff game...washington beat tampa bay so they will play our beloved seahawks next week, and it sounds like matt, brie, and i will attend the game!...of course, matt and i attended last year's seahawks- rams game...that was my first time in qwest field...it was very exciting!...we can't really afford it financially, although matt says he'll buy the tickets when they go on sale monday morning...but sometimes you can't afford to not do things emotionally...does that make sense?...does it matter?...i think it's true...kim and her friends went to see "the producers" again...my recommended movie choice: "the lion, the witch, and the wardrobe" ...it is wonderful and very faithful to c.s. lewis' incredible book...haven't yet seen "goblet of fire", probably because i am still halfway through the book!...tigger has been joined by a sweet tabby kitten named audrey, but i call her little miss...

the world continues to be a place that makes no sense...so i just keep my focus on the world to come...peace to all who read this, and all who don't...later
